Crymlyn Burrows
Solar PV supporting the sustainable transformation of a major recycling facility.
Modernising a recycling facility while reducing environmental impact
Crymlyn Burrows Recycling Facility was undergoing a major modernisation programme to improve waste management processes, increase operational efficiency and support wider sustainability objectives. As part of the redevelopment, the facility required renewable energy infrastructure capable of reducing reliance on imported electricity while supporting long-term environmental performance.

Renewable energy integrated into a wider site transformation
As part of the facility's redevelopment, a new solar roof was installed across the site to generate renewable electricity on-site and support daily operations. Nuvolt was appointed to deliver the solar PV installation, providing specialist expertise to ensure the system integrated seamlessly into the wider modernisation programme and contributed to the facility's long-term sustainability goals.
- Solar PV installed across the facility roof
- Designed to generate renewable electricity on-site
- Integrated within a wider facility modernisation programme
- Supports long-term sustainability objectives
- Delivered as part of a comprehensive site transformation project
Lower environmental impact with greater operational sustainability
The completed project transformed Crymlyn Burrows into a more sustainable and environmentally responsible facility. Alongside improvements to waste processing and recycling operations, the new solar installation now generates renewable electricity on-site, reducing reliance on non-renewable energy sources and supporting lower carbon emissions. The project demonstrates how energy infrastructure can contribute to broader operational and environmental objectives across critical public-sector facilities.
