Quest House
SolarEdge smart-panel rooftop solar for a collaborative workspace in Cardiff St Mellons.
Improving sustainability while enhancing tenant appeal
Quest House wanted to strengthen its environmental credentials and reduce its reliance on traditional energy sources. As a collaborative workspace serving a range of businesses, the organisation was looking to improve long-term sustainability while creating a more attractive environment for environmentally conscious tenants and occupiers.

Solar infrastructure designed to support long-term building performance
Nuvolt designed and delivered a SolarEdge solar PV system tailored to the operational requirements of Quest House. The system was implemented to generate renewable electricity on-site, reduce dependence on imported energy and support the building's wider sustainability objectives. The solution was designed around the specific requirements of the workspace, helping align environmental performance with the needs of modern occupiers.
- SolarEdge smart panels with module-level optimisation
- Per-panel monitoring to track tenant benefit and identify shading losses
- Designed around a collaborative workspace with mixed tenant occupancy
- Reduces the workspace's carbon footprint and operating cost
Lower emissions with a stronger sustainability proposition
The completed system delivers measurable environmental benefits, reducing carbon emissions by approximately 8.3 tonnes of CO₂e annually. The renewable energy generated by the system is equivalent to saving around 332 trees each year, helping Quest House reduce its environmental impact while strengthening its appeal to environmentally conscious businesses and occupiers. The project also supports greater energy independence by reducing exposure to energy price fluctuations and grid disruption.
